This is a famous New York district where traditional New Year celebration is held making it a historic landmark.
4. Madison Square Gardens
Also referred to as The Most Famous Arena in the World, Madison Square Garden has 20,000-seats situated on top of the city’s Pennsylvania Station. It is the home of the New York Knicks, New York Rangers Hockey Team and New York Liberty basketball teams. More than 600 events are held here every year.
5. United Nations Head Quarters
This is located along the East River. It is the home of the international organization. It opened in the year 1951 and became instantly well-known.
6. American Museum of Natural History
It is one of the most renowned natural history collections and research facilities. It is the home of numerous exhibits.
7. Central Park
This is Manhattan’s back garden consisting of 843-acre of land and is in close proximity to the city’s high-rise apartments. People love to take a walk in this park or read a book on its sprawling grounds. Concerts are also held in this park. It has 4 million trees and plants with 1500 species, artificial lakes, bike trails, zoo, playgrounds, ice-skating rinks and wildlife sanctuary.
8. Wall Street
This is the home of New York Stock Exchange and still synonymous to the financial markets in the United States. It used to be a one-time headquarters of the biggest banks and brokerage houses in America.
9. Brooklyn Bridge
It is the oldest suspension bridge in America. It is 6016-ft long making it one of the longest too. It serves as a link to New York’s Manhattan and Brooklyn districts. Before, traffic included trolleys, horses, streetcars, pedestrians and elevated trains. At present, only cars, cyclists and pedestrians are allowed.
10. Carnegie Hall
The Carnegie Hall is perfectly built with 3 concert halls and had hosted more than 50,000 events throughout its history. It was restored and remains to be beautiful at present. It has 3 concert stages, great archives and a museum. Guided tours to its facilities are offered to visitors. Numerous performances are also held in this hall.
