1. The Statue of Liberty
 
The Statue of Liberty is the city’s most famous landmark. Standing in the Liberty Island, it is officially referred to as the Liberty Enlightening the World. It has a bronze construction and was a gift to the United States by France in the year 1885. It symbolizes freedom and it marks the centenary of America’s Declaration of Independence. Visitors who used to arrive in New York by boat were welcomed by the Statue of Liberty making it a truly historic landmark.
 
2. Empire State Building
This is one of the most popular buildings in the whole world. It had been used in many Hollywood movies and serves as a defining symbol of the Big Apple. It was first opened in May 1, 1931 and around 10,000 – 20,000 people visit the building daily.
Situated on the 86 th floor at 1,050 feet above the busy streets of the city is the observatory. It offers a spectacular view of the city with panoramic views within its glass-enclosed pavilion and open-air promenade.
